It`s nice to have you here on the new designed webpage of the Gallery Smend!
We are specialized in textiles and exhibit the works of international textile artists.
In our gallery one can find workingmaterial for textile artists, a reference library, videos and CD’s. We do send literature and workingmaterial to artists, schols and institutes of further education worldwide (mailorder).
We provide advice for your shopping per phone, mail or in our shop in Cologne. We do as well organise and carry out courses/workshops in different textile techniques and demonstrate/present new products or special methods in our “open-house meetings”.
There is a seperate business location next door that can be rented for readings, meetings, short exhibitions and much more.
We do give out pieces on loan to national and international museums and institutes of further education regarding batiks from Indonesia.
